Online video viewing jumps 13% in Dec 08
comScore, a provider of internet traffic data and statistics, recently announced that online video viewing in December reached a new record, growing by 13 percent over November, to 14.3 billion in the US alone. Google’s YouTube made up almost half the incremental gain and now represents 41 percent of the online video market. Trailing far behind in second place, Fox Interactive Media (numerous properties including MySpace) has a three percent market share. Rounding out the top five in terms of market share were Yahoo! Sites, Viacom Digital and Microsoft Sites.
