Facebook unveiled its Facebook for Office app this week, allowing businesses to create their own social network among their employees. The product puts Facebook head-to-head with the likes of Microsoft’s Yammer, Slack, Convo, Socialcast, and a huge number of others who are trying to tackle the “enterprise social network” space.

The idea of the ‘smart home‘ is becoming more and more a reality. Up to 17% of US homes have some kind of central automated control – either adjusting the thermostat, recording your shows, or automating some previous drudgery.
